Iran was ready to strike three sites in Ukraine after the latter struck its commercial ship in Caspian Sea, a senior military adviser to Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei said. The plan was dropped after Ukraine assured the strike was a "mistake". The July 25 attack had killed one sailor, with Iran warning that it could "spread the flames of war".
