The US and Iran war escalated again after the latter announced closure of the Strait of Hormuz again amid renewed peace negotiations. The US launched a fresh round of military strikes against Iran. Iran had announced the closure after it struck a vessel while it was passing through the strait, accusing it of using an "unauthorised route".
