Iran has introduced its first hypersonic missile called Fattah, claiming it can penetrate missile defence systems and provide a military advantage. According to state media, the missile can travel at 15 times the speed of sound. Its average speed is around 16,000 feet per second, with a range of 1,400 km. The missile's name, 'Fattah', translates roughly to 'the opener'.
