A 31-year-old Irani national, leader of the Irani group in Pune, has been arrested for allegedly trying to extort ₹40 lakh from businesswoman Sapana Morarjee. The accused, identified as Farzad Mohamad Riza Fakhabadi, had demanded the money to withdraw a case filed by an Irani girl against Sapana's son. The girl had accused him of threatening and illegally detaining her.
