Iranian Oil Minister resigns amid war, cites personal reasons

Iranian Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad resigned from his post, citing personal reasons. Before resigning, Paknejad reportedly said, “Revenues of the oil that we have sold are still coming and that will continue.” Hamid Bovard, CEO of state-owned National Iranian Oil Company, will serve as acting minister. Tehran faces mounting pressure on its oil exports amid the ongoing conflict with US.
