The largest ship in the Iranian Navy caught fire and later sank in the Gulf of Oman under unclear circumstances on Wednesday, the local media reported. The Kharg, named after an island nearby that serves as a key oil terminal, reportedly caught fire while it was on a training mission. The crew members on board have safely been evacuated.
