Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein was presented a key to the city of Detroit, United States in 1980, recognising his donation of $250,000 to a local church. The key is a symbolic honour and signifies 'Freedom of the City'. Hussein made the donation after he was congratulated by Reverend Jacob Yasso on his presidency in 1979.
