Iraqi military aided by Shi'ite paramilitary forces retook most of Salahuddin province's capital city Tikrit, including the government headquarters. The battle for Saddam Hussein's hometown has lasted a month, and ISIS militants are still believed to be holed in the city- with at least three neighbourhoods still under ISIS control. Militants are suspected to have planted bombs to slow progress.
