IRDAI Chairman Ajay Seth has proposed making every insurance policy traceable to the individual salesperson, agent or point of sales person (POSP) to curb mis-selling. He said the current system identifies only intermediaries such as banks and brokers. Tracking individual sellers would improve accountability and help address mis-selling in the insurance sector.
