Union Minister Anurag Thakur expressed his condolences over the death of singer Pankaj Udhas, saying that the news of the passing of the veteran is "deeply saddening". Thakur further said, "His demise is an irreparable loss to our music world…[He] enriched our music industry and gifted us some of the most memorable and melodious renditions of ghazals."
