Ex-India spinner Ravichandran Ashwin opined that Ishan Kishan was included in India's T20 World Cup squad as he has given cricket the respect it deserves. "This is a gift that cricket has given to Ishan Kishan," he added, praising Ishan for leading Jharkhand to victory in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Ishan had last represented India in T20Is in November 2023.
