The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) agreed to set up a Humanitarian Trust Fund to "serve as a vehicle to channel humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan" amid a severe crisis in the country. The fund will be set up under the aegis of Islamic Development Bank. The OIC called on its member states and donors to announce pledges to the fund.
