The Islamic Education Board of India (IEBI) is accelerating surveys in around 10,000 madrasas in Karnataka towards modernising the education system, syllabus and pedagogy. The authorities want all the madrasas to follow the IEBI syllabus for the children to be part of the mainstream society. This move comes after terror suspects were arrested in the state.
