Rajya Sabha MP Kapil Sibal criticised Home Minister Amit Shah over his remarks that religion-based quota violates the Constitution and asked if religion-based politics and propaganda violate the Constitution or not. Earlier, Shah had appreciated the Karnataka government's move to scrap the 4% reservation for Muslims. Shah had claimed that the quota on religious lines was constitutionally invalid.
