The son of an Israeli diplomat accused of intentionally running over a police officer to avoid traffic in US' Miami has claimed diplomatic immunity. The 19-year-old boy, Avraham Gil, struck the officer conducting traffic stop with his motorcycle, following which the latter sustained an "incapacitating" injury to his leg. Gil's father is consul for administration at Israeli Consulate in Miami.
