Israel launched air strikes targeting Hamas in the Gaza strip after two rockets were fired from there. The new attacks on Gaza come days after Israel and the Islamic Jihad militant group agreed to a ceasefire. The Islamic Jihad militant group had launched more than 200 rockets towards Israel in retaliation to the death of one of its leaders.
