Israel's Consul General to Mumbai Yaniv Revach said Israel is planning to install a statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in one of its major cities. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis called it a historic initiative that would strengthen cultural ties between Maharashtra and Israel. Fadnavis said the Maharashtra government would extend full support for the installation of the statue.
