Israel-based startup Airobotics has developed a drone which can take off or land autonomously without external help. The drone automatically launches from a freestanding base station called the 'Airbase' and can perform pre-programmed missions including surveillance or monitoring for security breaches. Once a mission is complete, the drone returns to the Airbase for cleaning and recharge.
