ISRO launches India's heaviest rocket

Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) Thursday launched GSLV Mark III, its heaviest rocket ever, from Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh. The rocket weighs 630 tonne and is 42.4 meters tall. The unmanned crew module is being tested on how it performs while traveling in the atmosphere; however, it is capable of carrying 2-3 astronauts into space.
