ISRO Scientist Returns to His Village to Grow Organic Dates

Professor Divakar Channappa from Karnataka's Begur village, transitioned from working as a project scientist at ISRO in Bengaluru to farming his family's land. He began cultivating organic dates, a desert crop, making him one of the first farmers in Karnataka to do so. From his 2.5-acre farm, he produces five tonnes of dates, earning Rs 6 lakh per acre.
