ISRO's former Director Surendra Pal revealed ISRO once transported a communication satellite on a bullock cart and it costed just ₹150. In 1981, ISRO's first indigenous, experimental communication satellite, called APPLE, was launched. As per reports, the satellite was transported using a bullock cart to provide a non-magnetic environment and to conduct an experiment, not due to lack of funds.
