Dukaan CEO Suumit Shah told CNBC-TV18 that the recent claims he made about an AI bot replacing 90% of the startup's support team referred to layoffs Dukaan undertook in September last year. Dukaan had laid off 23 customer support employees in September and 57 employees across all departments in March. "Customer support had been a struggle...since long," Shah had said.
