Miley Cyrus spoke about having a rare vocal disorder, Reinke's edema, that results in her distinct vocal fry. She said, "My voice always sounded like this, it's part of my unique anatomy." Miley added, "I have this large polyp on my cords and I'm not willing to sever it." She explained that surgery may end up in changing her voice.
