It was a little bit pathetic: Smith on SA using proxy captain at toss

Former South Africa captain Graeme Smith has criticised South Africa captain Faf du Plessis for using Temba Bavuma as proxy captain to call at the coin toss ahead of the third Test against India in Ranchi. "It was a little bit pathetic. It just shows the mindset of the South African side. I didn’t enjoy seeing that," he said.
