Italian startup Generative Bionics has unveiled Gene.01, a humanoid robot featuring "smart skin" capable of sensing touch, temperature, proximity and force. The robot uses Physical AI to combine hardware with movement, stability and quicker reactions. Designed for tasks including shipyard welding, it doesn't require complex coding and can be taught new tasks simply by guiding its limbs.
