ITC Limited demerger was approved by the shareholders, the company announced in an exchange filing last week. The company had earlier announced that it would demerge its hotel business. For every 10 shares held in ITC Ltd, shareholders would be entitled to receive 1 share of ITC Hotels Ltd.
