FMCG major ITC reported a 72.4% YOY drop in consolidated profit to ₹5,388 crore for March quarter. The sharp decline was due to a high base effect from a one-time gain of ₹15,179 crore recorded in previous year. Meanwhile, consolidated revenue from operations for the quarter rose nearly 17% to ₹23,821.48 crore compared to the corresponding period.
