Shareholders of ITC Limited have approved the demerger of the company's hotels business with a majority of 99.6%. The plan, announced last year, will see ITC Limited having a 40% stake in ITC Hotels, while the shareholders will own the remaining 60% stake. Shares of ITC Limited jumped 1.2% on Thursday to close at ₹435.8.
