On the occasion of Mother's Day, actress Ratna Pathak Shah opened up about playing maternal characters in various films and television shows. "It was a relief to [play] mothers who are not stereotypical, and more important than that, it was a relief to [play] mothers who are not unhappy, or miserable or being treated badly," she said.
