The Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI) and the Jammu & Kashmir government have signed a MoU to develop three national waterways projects. IWAI will develop river navigation infrastructure in 3 national waterways including NW-26 (River Chenab), NW-49 (River Jhelum), NW-84 (River Ravi). The partnership will promote eco-tourism in the union territory while also stimulating local economy.
