Former India captain Sunil Gavaskar said Shreyas Iyer, then captain of KKR, did not get the credit for their IPL 2024 victory, adding, "All the plaudits were given to someone else." Gavaskar stated that Iyer, now PBKS captain, is getting due recognition this IPL season. "No one is giving all the credit to [head coach] Ricky Ponting," he added.
