A Jammu and Kashmir court directed police to show records after a petitioner accused them of inaction regarding a complaint about fake silver offerings worth ₹550 crore at Vaishno Devi. The petitioner demanded an FIR to be registered, alleging a "massive fraud". A government mint had found 95% of the 20-tonne silver offering to be cadmium and iron in May.
