Filmmaker Vikram Bhatt recalled spending 70 days in Udaipur jail in connection with a ₹30-crore fraud case. He said he shared barrack with 60 to 80 inmates, where he witnessed a "different India". "They would call me Bhishma Pitamah...and say, 'Tell us...horror story'," he recalled. Vikram added he made some lifelong friends there, as they protected him with their lives.
