James Rew becomes youngest Englishman since 1939 to hit 10 FC tons

James Rew has become the youngest Englishman in 89 years to score ten first-class hundreds. Aged 21 years and 114 days, Rew achieved the feat with 116 in Somerset's thrilling 2025 County Championship win over Essex, becoming the youngest since Denis Compton reached the landmark in 1939. Compton achieved the feat at 20 years and 353 days.
