Japan Airlines will launch a demonstration experiment for the utilisation of humanoid robots at airports, the first of its kind in Japan, starting in May. The airline is aiming to cut labour costs and enhance efficiency in ground handling operations. Initially, two China-made robots will carry out tasks such as transporting containers and opening and closing levers that secure them.
