Japan apologises to S Korea on sex slave issue

South Korea and Japan on Monday settled on the issue of ‘comfort women’, the women Japan had forced into sex slavery during WWII. Japanese PM Shinzo Abe issued his “most sincere apologies” and offered $8.3 million in aid to the 46 surviving in South Korea. Japan had reportedly forced over 200,000 women into brothels from Korea, China and neighbouring countries.
