Japan, Australia leaders sign new security pact amid China threat

Australian PM Anthony Albanese and his Japanese counterpart Fumio Kishida on Saturday signed a new bilateral security agreement amid China's growing military presence in the Asia-Pacific region. The two countries vowed to share more sensitive intelligence and conduct joint war games. "This landmark declaration sends a strong signal to the region of our strategic alignment," Albanese said.
