Japan can assemble nuclear weapons within a year: Russia

Japan is capable of assembling its own nuclear weapons in about a year, Russian President Vladimir Putin's special advisor Anton Kobyakov said, adding that Japanese PM Sanae Takaichi's "aggressive rhetoric" shows that Japan is shifting towards "direct involvement". Earlier, a Chinese envoy had said Tokyo possesses enough plutonium to theoretically produce thousands of nuclear warheads.
