The Mumbai-Ahmedabad High- Speed Rail (MAHSR) project progressed after the first Shinkansen bullet train ran into the trial phase in Japan. The data gathered will help the future operations of the bullet train corridor and also help in eventual production of the next-generation E10 series Shinkansen trains under the "Make in India" initiative.
