Japan launches 10-cm 'origami' satellite that unfolds 25 times its size

Japan launched a 10-cm cube satellite with a reflectarray antenna that unfolds, origami-like, to 25 times its original size. The CubeSat, one of eight satellites launched by the space agency JAXA, is designed for earthquake detection, ocean monitoring and multispectral imaging at lower cost. It was launched from New Zealand's North Island aboard a Rocket Lab Electron spacecraft.
