Japan's public broadcaster NHK has apologised and removed an animated video that aims to explain the Black Lives Matter protests in the US. The clip showed caricatures of black people protesting and looting, and attributing the protests to economic inequality. "The caricatures used are offensive and insensitive," interim head of the US embassy in Tokyo, Joseph M Young, said.
