Japan has inducted its first three F-35B Lightning II fighters at Nyutabaru Air Base, with a fourth delayed for US maintenance and inspection. These short take-off and vertical-landing jets will temporarily operate from Nyutabaru before being deployed on Izumo-class carriers JS Izumo and JS Kaga.
