Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida has said the country supports the industrial use of generative artificial intelligence technologies such as OpenAI's ChatGPT. Earlier this month, Kishida met with ChatGPT maker OpenAI's CEO Sam Altman in Tokyo. He has also reportedly said the Group of Seven summit meeting next month in Hiroshima will address "international rules" on generative AI.
