The Japanese government has announced a revision of its visa fees that is set to come into effect from July 1, 2026. Under the new structure, visa fees for foreign tourists will increase fivefold, from 3,000 yen (₹1,750 approx.) to 15,000 yen (₹8,700 approx.). This means that a trip to Japan could become more expensive.
