Japan to invest ₹57,000 cr in AI, aims 10 million robots by 2040

Japan announced a plan to develop homegrown AI model and have 10 million AI-equipped robots operating across 18 fields by 2040. The AI model will be developed by Noetra, a consortium of firms including SoftBank and Sony, with the government reportedly investing around $6 billion (around ₹57,000 crore) in model over next five years. Noetra will focus on physical AI.
