The government-backed Japan Ninja Council on Wednesday announced its plans to open a Ninja Academy and build a new museum devoted to ninjas. The council, which has also created an official ninja logo, hopes to promote the "ninja business" and hire "ninja ambassadors" to promote the art globally. Historically, ninjas were covert agents in feudal Japan.
