Japan will hold trials of HIV antiretroviral drugs to treat patients infected with COVID-19 which is also known as Novel Coronavirus, the government said. The Japanese government is "currently conducting preparations so that clinical trials using HIV medication on the Novel Coronavirus can start as soon as possible," Yoshihide Suga, Japan's Chief Cabinet Secretary told The Guardian.
