Japan Tobacco Inc (JTI), the largest cigarette producer in Russia, has suspended all new investments and marketing activities in Russia effectively immediately following the Russian invasion of Ukraine. "The challenges of operating in Russia at this time are unprecedented," the company said. JTI added it "cannot exclude the possibility of a suspension of manufacturing operations in Russia".
