Japanese boxer Shigetoshi Kotari succumbed to injuries to his brain that he picked up in a title fight less than a week ago. According to news reports, the 28-year-old was rushed to the hospital following the match and underwent emergency brain surgery for a subdural hematoma. Doctors who attended to the young boxer said Kotari required a craniotomy.
