Tokyo space startup Gitai Japan successfully conducted a technology demonstration of its AI-equipped autonomous robotic arm inside the space station last week. The robot carried out two common crew tasks, operating cables and switches, and assembling structures and panels. It was sent to orbit aboard a SpaceX Dragon capsule earlier in August.
